Your images never leave your device

PhotoReducer processes all images locally in your browser using WebAssembly. When you compress, resize or convert a photo, the file is never uploaded to our servers or to any third party. We could not see your images even if we wanted to — the processing happens entirely on your device, and the site keeps working if you go offline after loading it.

Data we do not collect

We do not require accounts, we do not ask for your name or email, and we do not store your files, file names or any content derived from them.

Data collected automatically

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical request data — such as IP address and browser type — to serve the site securely and mitigate abuse, as any web host does. We may use privacy-respecting aggregate analytics to understand which tools are used most; this never includes your images.

Advertising and cookies

To keep PhotoReducer free, we may display advertising (such as Google AdSense). Advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve relevant ads, subject to your consent where required by law. You can control cookies in your browser settings, and where applicable you will be shown a consent dialog before any advertising cookies are set. Google's use of advertising cookies is described atpolicies.google.com/technologies/ads.
